2022 - Qualitative pilot
Since July 2021, upon appointing the National Body for Evaluation within the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research as the national overseeing institution for TALIS, major efforts have been directed towards examining, discussing, and commenting on the conceptual frameworks, in addition to translating the survey tools and questionnaires into Arabic as an initial step. Subsequently, 7 groups, comprising 50 teachers and directors from preschool, primary, and lower secondary institutions tested the survey tools. The pilot included three units in which Morocco takes part: the main survey in primary and lower secondary schools, preschool (Starting Strong), and Teachers Knowledge Survey in lower secondary schools. In this context, reports on the survey results and proposed improvements to its tools were prepared and shared with the OECD and the TALIS research center.
