2022 - Qualitative pilot
Since July 2021, upon appointing the National Body for Evaluation within the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research as the national overseeing institution for TALIS, major efforts have been directed towards examining, discussing, and commenting on the conceptual frameworks, in addition to translating the survey tools and questionnaires into Arabic as an initial step. Subsequently, 7 groups, comprising 50 teachers and directors from preschool, primary, and lower secondary institutions tested the survey tools. The pilot included three units in which Morocco takes part: the main survey in primary and lower secondary schools, preschool (Starting Strong), and Teachers Knowledge Survey in lower secondary schools. In this context, reports on the survey results and proposed improvements to its tools were prepared and shared with the OECD and the TALIS research center. -

August 29, 2022 - 2nd International Meeting of TALIS 2024 National Project Managers
In September 2022, the National Body for Evaluation within the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research overseeing TALIS, participated in the "2nd National Meeting of OECD-TALIS Project Managers" in Hamburg. The meeting sought to prepare for the experimental study and validate the survey tools, project schedule, and platforms for sampling and data collection.

2023 - Experimental study
The experimental study conducted in April 2023 targeted a small sample of teachers and school directors to carry out a field experiment with the Survey tools. The objective was to analyze and improve their effectiveness. The field experiment included the preschool level starting from a sample of 60 preschool institutions, of which 8 executives were chosen from each institution. Moreover, 350 primary school teachers were selected from 32 primary schools, in addition to 490 lower secondary school teachers from 33 institutions. The study underlines the Teachers Knowledge Survey in lower secondary schools, including a sample of 368 teachers.

On Monday 27 March 2023, Mr. Habib El MALKI chaired the launch of the workshop for the passing of the TALIS 2024 field experiment at the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research Headquarters. The workshop saw the participation of regional coordinators taking part in the field experiment from different education and training regional academies

on May 4 and 5, 2023, the Director of the National Body for Evaluation within the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research represented Morocco in the TALIS Governing Board meeting held in Paris, in the presence of representatives from the participating countries.

April 22, 2024 - Workshops with Teachers and School Directors – Main Study
On 22 April 2024, the National Body for Evaluation within the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research held a workshop in the presence of regional officials taking part in the field experiment from different education and training regional academies along with the Survey team members within the Council.
