On Monday 27 March 2023, Mr. Habib El MALKI chaired the launch of the workshop for the passing of the TALIS 2024 field experiment at the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research Headquarters. The workshop saw the participation of regional coordinators taking part in the field experiment from different education and training regional academies along with the Survey team members within the Council.

In his address, Mr. El MALKI stressed the significance of the International Survey for its provision of accurate data. Such data can be utilized in the development of public policies aimed at reforming the education system, notably the promotion of teachers’ professional performance and its conditions and requirements under the provisions of the framework-law n° 51.17, the Strategic Vision for Reform, and the roadmap 2022-2026.

The President also underscored the pivotal roles of teachers, their attributes, and the practices they adopt to improve students’ performance and advance the education system. Furthermore, he called all participants to exert their utmost efforts for the success of the Survey given its unique characteristics, particularly encouraging different stakeholders to engage positively and effectively towards this objective.
